Tibetan Buddhist Prayer Bead Counters
These mala couters are silver and stung on a red cord. They are ornamented with a multi-colored tassle of red, green and blue string. Mala counters hang on either side of a mala and function like an abacus for counting mantra, prayer and prostration accumulations. Each counter is decorated with either a small bell or a small dorje, the TIbetan Buddhists symbols for wisdom and compassion, respectively. Made in Nepal.
