Large Silver & Gold, Coral & Turquoise Tibetan Gao

This is a traditional Tibetan Gao, or locket, used by Buddhists to  store precious relics and worn to receive protection and blessings.  This is a gorgeous example of the traditional Tibetan silversmith handicraft.  This gao is decorated with gold, coral and turquoise, favorite stones of the Tibetan people, and is in the shape of a star.  On all four back sides of the gao there are loops for attachment as a pendant to a necklace.  Measures approximately 4″ x4″.
